Welcome to the Frans-Jozef guesthouse, situated at an altitude of 1000 meters, in Mönichkirchen – a charming corner of the Vienna Alps. Mönichkirchen is located just 90 km from Vienna (exit from the A2 motorway in the direction of Aspang) and 90 km from the town of Graz. It is an excellent place for tourists wishing to enjoy the beauty of the alpine landscape and relax away from the urban hustle and bustle.
In the guesthouse there are cosy rooms with bathrooms and TV, some also with balcony. For larger families, we offer two-room apartment with kitchenette. On request it is possible to insert an additional cot. Guests can also spend their free time in the recreation room, playing board games or chat in a friendly atmosphere.
The guesthouse is situated about 400 meters from the ski resort Mönichkirchen-Mariensee, open in both summer and winter. In the summer ski slopes turn into hiking trails, as well as cycle routs for Rollerbahn (special scooter) or bikes. Hiking enthusiasts can climb on the highest peak in the Vienna Alps – Hochwechsel (1743m above sea level). The convenient location allows you to visit one of Austria’s two largest cities – Vienna and Graz.
